Thomas R. Shane

Education

Tom received his BS from Boston College in 1977 and continued his education at Suffolk University, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1980.  In addition he received his MBA from Babson College in 1981.

Professional History

From 1973 to 1979, Shane was in general management and sales with Faded Glory, the first company to introduce pre-washed fashion denim in the US.  Following his graduation from law school, he became a cofounder and general counsel for Leading Edge Products, the first company in the US to introduce an IBM compatible personal computer.  In 1988, he formed Shane and Associates, a 36 member law firm specializing in real estate, corporate litigation, and intellectual property.  In 2004, he joined with Kip Rushin to form The Lending Team, specializing in commercial real estate finance.  That firm has partnered with Banks & Associates, responsible for closing over $200,000,000 in commercial loans.
